Coldest Night of the Year 2023
January 2, 2023
We are teaming up with Coldest Night of the Year for our third year of hosting a chilly walk around the block to raise funds and awareness for women in need. Coldest Night of the Year is a national event where families and community members can walk to raise money for charities serving people experiencing homelessness, hurt, and hunger.
Our team knows that many women who come through Adeara’s doors have experienced homelessness alongside addiction. Tragically, the two often operate hand in hand. Establishing a solid path to recovery might also mean a woman might never experience homelessness again.
Join us this year by signing up to lead a team or join a group of individuals walking 2K or 5K outdoors for the women of Adeara! Each team collectively raises a fund goal for Adeara, and partakes in the walk together on February 25, 2023. We will be walking a 2K or 5K loop in Millwoods.

If fundraising isn’t your thing, but you still want to be a part of this event, we’re looking for dedicated volunteers! Volunteers help on the day as route marshals, set-up and tear-down, hot chocolate distribution, and check-in help. To learn more about volunteering for the Coldest Night of the Year, click here – make sure to enter Edmonton Millwoods as your location.
P.S. If you raise a minimum of $150, you will receive the new Coldest Night of the Year toques before event day so we can all wear them as we walk!
This is an exciting opportunity to engage your families, young and old, to come around a cause together and experience the coldest night of the year.
Join us as we walk in support of the women at Adeara, who are taking steps each day towards sustainable recovery so that they might never experience hunger and homelessness again.
