When I lost my son at 30 days old, I felt so defeated. I relapsed and it crushed me because I didn’t believe I could ever stay clean. I couldn’t get clean for myself. I couldn’t stay clean for my son.

I couldn’t listen to the authorities trying to direct me to a better path. I felt hopeless. I had no willpower to change. I was not in control of my life. I didn’t have a choice to stop using. It was not a choice.

After all hope seemed lost, Kristin arrived at Adeara. Today, she is set free from more than addiction. YesTV has captured her transformational story in an incredible short documentary that you can watch on YouTube.

What is Adeara?

Adeara is a faith-based, accredited addiction recovery centre for women and their children. We provide long-term programming to women in need in a residential setting. We’re here to walk with women through every step of their recovery journey—from addiction to sobriety, and transitioning back into the community.

I’ve come to realize that I was never alone because God was with me. Having a greater understanding of addiction provides me a greater advantage of recovery … I can honestly say I have an abundance of hope in my life.
