The Keystone Program Launch
September 26, 2019
We’re looking to expand the scope of our volunteer network! To date, over 600 women have been served through Adeara Recovery, and countless more lives of families, children and friends have been positively affected. We don’t do this alone–it takes a community to support each woman on her road to recovery, and each volunteer plays an essential part.
An opportunity to share your ideas
Our team wants to hear where you’re inspired to help and where Adeara can expand our volunteer program. We want to connect with current volunteers, brand new volunteers, and those who are curious about volunteering. Bring your ideas to the table: the sky is the limit. You have the power to make a difference.
Currently, we offer the following volunteer opportunities:
- Childcare
- Class Facilitation
- Mentorship
- Devotional Leading
- Driving
- Event Support (Especially needed for our upcoming Evening of Dreams)
- Life Skills Support
- Medical Professional Support
Read more about these needs in the Volunteer section of our website.
Our volunteers help our program participants grow mentally, spiritually, emotionally and physically by teaching classes, helping with various tasks, and just being a friend. Volunteers also play a vital role in helping the organization function as a whole by assisting with office duties and driving, just to name a couple.

What is Adeara Recovey?
Adeara is a long-term, faith-based addiction recovery centre serving women in the Edmonton area. We are also one of the few centres in Canada that sees children either full or part time at our facility. At Adeara, we seek to provide women in crisis through addiction, homelessness and other abuses with the tools to sustain a healthy, recovered life. As a part of God’s mission at Adeara, we have the privilege of serving and journeying with these women and children. In so doing, we are following the example of Jesus Christ. Together, we facilitate the opportunity for transformation and growth in the lives of the women who reside at Adeara.
