Together, We're Making a Difference

Addiction is destructive. It leads to a person’s loss of control over drug use, compulsive behaviour, the decline of physical and mental health, social isolation, loss of hope, and risk of overdose and death. But together, we’re making a difference.

Check out how your donations are making a ripple effect in our community right now, as of our most recent annual report (2024-2025).

Helping Women in Severe Circumstances

Adeara is an intensive program designed to support women with severe, long-standing substance use issues which have caused significant impairment in their lives. Our applicants are often in highly unstable situations, experiencing homelessness, abusive relationships, active substance use, criminal charges, and/or Child and Family Services involvement. This year, applicants came to Adeara battling addictions from meth, alcohol, fentanyl, and cocaine.

Thanks to you, we were able to offer women like Samantha a safe home, a new daily structure, and help from professionals to help them begin to address their addiction. Watch her story by clicking the play button.

People Served This Year

In the fiscal year of 2024-2025, we served 16 women through our addiction program, housed 12 children, supported 26 women through continued care, served 16 workers through our work experience program, and engaged 147 volunteers. Our community of supporters has been pivotal in the transformation our clients and their children have experienced this past year.  Your support doesn’t just change the women’s lives; it changes the trajectory of entire generations!

Making Recovery Accessible

Recovery programs that accept women with children can cost hundreds of dollars a day, leaving them with few options.

Through the support of our generous donors, the cost of our programming is almost completely covered for clients and their children. This cost includes a fully furnished suite, and our whole addiction recovery program, weekly professional counselling, and life skill training, and additional supports.

Your support has made a difference for women like Samantha, who has been reunited with her 4 children after spending 2 years in Adeara’s program.

Change Through Community

Behind those working directly with our clients is a larger community—praying, giving, and volunteering to support women building new lives. They stand with us, believing every woman deserves love, dignity, and respect. We are deeply grateful to our donors, partners, sponsors, and the special communities listed below.

Monthly Donors

Thank you to the 140 monthly donors who committed to partnering with us this year in our mission to empower and equip women to live in sustainable recovery.

Prayer Team

Each month, Adeara shares an email with prayer requests from our clients and staff. We are deeply grateful for the individuals who take time to pray for these needs—it truly makes a difference. Join our prayer team by filling out the form below.

Volunteers

Our volunteers are the heart of Adeara and More Than a Fad. This year, 147 volunteers contributed 10,594 hours. From facilitating classes and devotionals at the Centre, to sorting and pricing merchandise at More than a Fad, supporting our fundraising events, and serving on our board, thank you for your dedication and passion.
