Evening of Dreams FAQ
What is the dress code?
The Evening of Dreams is a semi-formal event. Some guidelines of semi-formal attire that are certainly not rules:
- Men: A suit, dress shirt, and tie. One may finish the look with dress socks to match the color of the pants and leather dress shoes.
- Women: Short or tea-length dresses, elegant little black dresses, evening pants or dressy skirt outfits with elegant yet subtle jewelry.
Do I need to show a ticket at the event?
We will be providing an in-person check in, no tickets needed. Our volunteer team will check you in at the door.
Is there a seating plan?
There will be a designated table for each guest at the event. Your table number will be given to you as you arrive. Seats at the tables are not designated.
Can you accommodate dietary restrictions?
Yes! Dinner will be a buffet style, but please email juli@adeara.ca ASAP if you have any specific dietary restrictions or allergies.
How long is the event program?
Doors open at 5:30 PM, and the program will begin at 6:30 PM. Dinner will be served shortly thereafter.
Are tax receipts provided with the purchase of an Evening of Dreams table and/or ticket?
Yes! A tax receipt will be provided and will be sent at the end of the year as part of your tax summary. Please note: the value of the meal (the advantage) is non-tax deductible.
Will there be a silent auction?
There will be no silent auction at this year’s gala. However, there will be other exciting opportunities to give and support women rebuilding their lives in the face of abuse, houselessness and trauma. Such as a Balloon Pop Raffle, our Need’s List, and a Live Auction!
What is a Balloon Pop Raffle?
The ‘Balloon Pop Raffle’ is a unique and exclusive Evening of Dreams opportunity where you could win a 7-night stay at a beautiful resort in Nuevo Vallarta, Mexico! Although there is only ONE grand prize, the remaining 99 balloons each contain a $50 gift card. Each balloon will be sold for $200 while supplies last.
