Evening of Dreams FAQ

What is the dress code?

The Evening of Dreams is a semi-formal event. Some guidelines of semi-formal attire that are certainly not rules:

  • Men: A suit, dress shirt, and tie. One may finish the look with dress socks to match the colour of the pants and leather dress shoes.
  • Women: Short or tea-length dresses, elegant little black dresses, evening pants or dressy skirt outfits with elegant yet subtle jewelry.

Do I need to show a ticket at the event?

No ticket is required for entry. We will have an in-person check-in process at the door, where our volunteer team will assist you. Tables will be listed under the name associated with the purchase.


Is there a seating plan?

There will be a designated table for each guest at the event. Your table number will be given to you as you arrive. Seats at the tables are not designated.


Can you accommodate dietary restrictions?

Absolutely! Our dinner will be buffet style, and all dishes will be clearly labeled for gluten-free, dairy-free, nut-free, and vegetarian options. If you have any specific dietary restrictions or allergies, or if you’d prefer a plated meal, please email Juli at juli@adeara.ca as soon as possible so we can ensure your needs are met.


How long is the event program?

Doors will open at 5:30 PM, giving you exclusive opportunities to support Adeara. The official program will begin at 6:30 PM, with dinner served shortly thereafter. The program is expected to conclude around 9:30 PM.


Are tax receipts provided with the purchase of an Evening of Dreams table and/or ticket?

Yes! A tax receipt will be provided and will be sent at the end of the year as part of your tax summary. Please note: the value of the meal (the advantage) is non-tax deductible. A tax-receipt will also be provided immediately for all online gifts made during the Evening of Dreams. 


Will there be an auction?

Yes! This year’s gala will feature both a silent and a live auction. The silent auction will showcase 15 exciting items for you to bid on in person from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM. The interactive live auction will commence around 8:45 PM, offering even more unique opportunities to bid on. Tax receipts will be available for bids exceeding the value of the item won. We can’t wait for you to see what we have in store!


What is a Balloon Pop Raffle?

The ‘Balloon Pop Raffle’ is a unique and exclusive Evening of Dreams opportunity where you could win a 7-night stay at a beautiful resort in Nuevo Vallarta, Mexico! There will be 100 balloons available for purchase for $200. Once they are sold out, they are gone, so come early.
