The Human Resources Coordinator for Adeara will support the organization by handling essential administrative and coordination tasks, such as assisting with recruitment, onboarding new hires, managing employee records, administering benefits/payroll, answering employee questions, and ensuring compliance with employment legislation. The person in this role will act as a key link between staff and the Operations Director to ensure smooth daily operations related to Human Resources. Under the general direction of the Operations Director, the Human Resources Coordinator will also provide scheduling coordination, record-keeping and general administrative/coordination support to Adeara’s Board of Directors. Some evening work will be required to attend meetings.

Key Accountabilities
- Manage key processes related to the employee life cycle including recruitment, onboarding, performance development, engagement and offboarding.
- Ensure timely updating of employee records in compliance with accreditation standards.
- Coordinate payroll and benefits administration including processing payroll, managing health benefits enrollment, and handling compensation changes.
- Responsible for arranging for all board scheduling, timely completion and accurate filing of board records, sending out agendas and taking meeting minutes and providing general administrative support for Adeara’s Board of Directors (up to 4 hours a week).
Qualifications
- A certificate, diploma or degree in human resources, business administration or related field is desired. Relevant human resources or business administration experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in an administrative or similar role.
- Experience supporting or being on a Board would be an asset.
- High proficiency in computer skills (email, internet and Microsoft office) is required. Proficiency in HR and Payroll software is an asset.
- Candidate will require a Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search, as well as obtain a Child Intervention Record Check.

- Strong organizational and time-management abilities for handling multiple HR functions
- Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills for working with various departments and employees
- Attention to detail with strong data entry skills for maintaining organized, accurate records
- Problem-solving skills and flexibility to adapt to changing HR needs and demands
- Familiarity with payroll software and time-keeping systems
- Basic knowledge of training and employee development techniques
- Knowledge of Canadian labour laws, employment standards, and workplace compliance is preferred
