The Recovery Support Lead at Adeara is responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of a holistic Recovery Support program for all clients that have transitioned out of Adeara Recovery Centre Program. This includes clients that reside in Adeara’s Transition House. The Recovery Support Lead will follow a professional code of conduct and will uphold accreditation standards as well as policies and procedures for the program. As Recovery Support Lead, he/she will be committed to working in a collaborative environment to provide excellence in care. The Recovery Support Lead is expected to complete his/her responsibilities in a manner that is appropriate and in agreement with the Mission, Vision, and Value Statements, policies, and Philosophy of Care of Adeara.

Adeara Recovery Centre is a long-term, residential recovery program for women. We help women in addiction create lasting change through our accredited, faith-based program. As a Christian organization we are guided by the love of Christ from the day-to-day operations to the programming we deliver, to the women and their children we serve. We are passionate about providing a clinically sound and faith-based recovery program and ministering to the whole person through the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Individual Responsibilities
- Continued development of all aspects of the Recovery Support Program
- Development and maintenance of the Recovery Support Program CMS database.
- Develop and maintain accreditation-aligned standards and ensure program activities comply.
- Create Standard Operating Procedures for Recovery Support Program.
- Develop and maintain relationships with community partners, while building a relevant resource database for Adeara clients.
- Develop, maintain and disseminate the Monthly Newsletter to send to all clients of the Recovery Support Program.
- Collaborate with staff to develop the Employability Program.
- Collaborate with Recovery Support Team in the implementation of One on One Recovery Support, Foundation of Recovery Classes and the Employability Program.
- Ensure high-quality, ethical, holistic client care aligned with professional standards.
- Oversee customized care planning for all Recovery Support Program clients through the use of My Recovery Plan.
- Ensure consistent record-keeping, case notes, and client documentation.
- Provide public education to community agencies on addiction recovery to raise awareness of Adeara.
- Prepare a Monthly Report containing statistics on client engagement through the Recovery Support Program
Transition House
- Conduct and oversee in-suite meeting with clients, holding clients accountable to recovery goals through the use of My Recovery Plan.
- Hold clients accountable to visitor guidelines to ensure safety.
- Facilitate and/or oversee house meetings with clients to address the dynamic in the house, adherence to program guidelines for each client, and any other interpersonal concerns that arise amongst clients.
- Provide oversight and supervision to the Recovery Support Team
- Supervise Recovery Support Team, providing coaching, accountability, and regular check-ins.
- Conduct performance management, maintain supervisory notes, and provide recognition.
- Oversee recruitment, hiring, onboarding, training, and dismissal of Recovery Support team member.
- On call for emergencies and incidents
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Counselling, Psychology, Pastoral Counselling, Social Work or equivalent
- In good standing with regulatory body (College of Alberta Psychologists, or Alberta College of Social Workers or ACTA)
- Documented proof of a clean criminal record check and Intervention Record Check (must be within 6 months of start date)
- Experience in group and individual therapy
- Leadership and supervision experience
- Experience in Strategic planning
