The Coldest Night of the Year 2025 Recap
February 26, 2025
This year marked Adeara’s 5th time participating in The Coldest Night of the Year, and we are so grateful for how our community showed up in support of the women and children at Adeara.
On February 22, 2025 over 150 walkers came together on a beautiful afternoon (it definitely didn’t feel like the coldest night of the year!) to support women in addiction recovery. It was incredible to see people of all ages—young and old, families, and children—unite for a shared goal: empowering women to experience freedom from addiction.
Together, we raised $52,259 for women in need of long-term addiction recovery! Because of your help, more women desiring to escape addiction and its associated traumas such as homelessness and abuse, can have access to our residential and kid-friendly centre.
Teams and Walkers
This year, over 150 of you formed 22 teams and walked for Adeara! Your dedication and passion make this event possible. You stepped up, took the pledge, and refused to sit on the sidelines—choosing instead to make a real impact. Thank you for your time, energy, and generosity in supporting the women and children at Adeara!
A huge thank you to the 39 incredible volunteers who gave their time as route marshals, greeters, check-in hosts, and food servers! Your efforts ensured walkers stayed on track, had their questions answered, and enjoyed a smooth and safe event. We couldn’t have done it without you!
Thank you to our Sponsors
We are incredibly grateful for the businesses that stand alongside Adeara, helping us empower and equip women to live in sustainable recovery. Their support makes events like this possible, allowing us to raise crucial funds and awareness for our mission. A special thank you to Ascend Psychology, our lead sponsor, and Flare Mortgage, our route sponsor, for their generosity and commitment this year. Your partnership not only fuels this event but also makes a lasting impact on the women and children we serve.
Thank you to Naks Catering for serving up delicious hot soup and fresh buns after the walk, and to Hope City Church for graciously hosting us. We’re also grateful to Starbucks for providing tasty treats and warm drinks along the route, and to P Treats for creating custom CNOY cookies and generously donating them for all our walkers. Each of your generosity and support help make this event so special—thank you for being part of this incredible community!
