The Power of Your Generosity in 2024

As we look back on 2024, we are filled with gratitude for the things we were able to achieve and experience together. Not only have we seen lives transformed and families restored, but we have also had the chance to celebrate reaching our financial goals and witness significant areas of growth in our program and team. The generosity of our community is truly leaving a legacy that’s impacting women in our program today. Here are just some of the ways your contribution has created lasting change over our last fiscal year:

• Provided 1,704 Hours of Addiction Programming: Through your support, Adeara offered numerous hours of biologically, psychologically, socially and spiritually focused programming to women overcoming severe addictions. That’s roughly 33 hours a week for each resident!
• Reunited Families: 89% of the women in our program this year were mothers, many of whom were reunited with their children and are now actively present in their lives.
• Sustained Recovery: Clients are remaining in recovery longer than they ever had before. They are giving their all to their recovery and gaining knowledge about relapse prevention, crediting Adeara with helping them navigate challenges they didn’t think they could overcome.
• Increased Employability: Through our work experience program, our clients are also developing their employability skills and growing in confidence.

Our team has been deeply encouraged by your support. On Giving Tuesday, so many of you stepped forward, raising an encouraging $41,902.13. As the year came to a close, you helped ensure that no financial barrier would prevent a woman from accessing life-changing addiction recovery.

Thanks to you, every dollar of our year end matching campaigns was met. Together, we surpassed our goal and raised $189,420.40 (and counting) for Adeara’s programming!

As we look ahead to 2025, we are excited to see continued transformation in the lives of the women who are currently at our centre. Right now, we have long-term residents who are looking ahead to their next chapter, women who have just begun their journey, and those doing the hard work in between.

In a time where generosity towards nonprofits is trending down across Canada, we are so thankful to see that our community remains strong. As we expand our program in the oncoming year with the renovations of our new transition house, it’s essential to grow our community of support as well. Thank you for helping us start the new year in a strong position.
